The Secretary General of the Arab Scout Organization, Director of the Arab Scout Region, Amr Hamdi, and Director of the Department of Community Service and Social Responsibility, LLC. Ahmed Hassan on an official visit to the Kingdom of Morocco at the invitation of the delegate president of the National University of Moroccan Scouts LLC. In order to give the official launch of the inclusive scouting program, and in this context, the Moroccan National University of Scouts, in partnership with the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family, will hold a national symposium on inclusive scouting on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 10:00 am at the Conference Palace – Bouregreg in Salé.
The activities of this symposium, which will be chaired by the Minister of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family, Ms. Awatef Hayar, will be attended by the Secretary-General and Regional Director of the Arab Scout Organization, Mr. Amr Hamdi, in addition to governmental and civic figures, heads and representatives of sectors and partner institutions of the Moroccan National Scout League.
The symposium program includes an official opening session that will introduce a presentation on the inclusive scouting project in its strategic dimension, in addition to signing partnership and cooperation agreements with the Mohammed VI National Center for the Disabled and the Moroccan Special Olympics.
While the second session of the symposium activities will be devoted to presenting experiences in the field of inclusive education by presenting scientific papers of various active partners in the field of integrating people with disabilities. The activities will conclude with a session for dialogue, discussion and interaction, and presentation of outputs and recommendations.
It should be noted that the Moroccan National University of Scouts, which is chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Moulay Rachid, is bound by a cooperation and partnership agreement with the Ministry of Solidarity, Social Integration and the Family, which was signed on December 06, 2019 and related to the project: Scouting Inclusive of Persons with Disabilities, which aims to implement an advanced program In the field of empowering people with disabilities their right to educational and scouting supervision according to field practices that take into account their needs and rights.
